Hi Lynne,
Big thanks to yourself and team on the fantastic service delivery, transaction was quick and pain free.
Product is extremely efficient. Innovation regards the new nylon brackets with the ball joint rather than the original fixed mount aluminum type bracket design is ridiculously cool, any angle can be achieved.
Awesome product, thanks

Hi Nigel,
I forced myself yesterday and cancelled my flight so I could drive to Margate.
I arrived home at arrival 00:30 because I couldn’t let my family have another restless night.
Early this morning I started with the installation. You guys have a magic product, effective and quick to install!!!!
Thanks again for your GREAT service and quick rental deal to get my mind at ease and family safe again.

Jaco Grobbelaar
PS: You can be assured that I will post this on all my social media and friends!!!!
Hi Nigel,
Please note I received the beams thank you so much for the excellent and efficient service. Haven’t experienced such super service like this.

Hi Nigel
I would just like to thank you for your excellent support service and for a fantastic product.
I purchased a three zone kit from you almost 4 years ago and it has given me such peace of mind. Although I have a separate internal house alarm system as well, the Roboguard perimeter defence has proven far better, as it can be set on all the time and not just when I leave my home. I know immediately if my kids are outside and where they are (using Zones). I have found them extremely reliable, and most importantly they do exactly what they are supposed to do, and that is give me advance warning.
They also work wonderfully with large dogs, which was always a problem when trying out other systems.
The other thing of note, is the very professional and friendly support service I have had from Nigel over the years in setting up the devices.
When I move home again the first thing I would invest in is another Roboguard Kit form your company.
Thank you once again Nigel and team for a great service.

We've just installed your Roboguard system (Taken care of by Nigel).
Firstly, the system is amazing. We've been ejoying some solid sleep due to the peace of mind that the system brings, in addition to the other security measure we have installed.
Since our incident (Day after ordering RoboGuard, prior to delivery we were held up by armed robbers inside our house after a week of being stalked and Nigel expedited our delivery, for which we are very grateful),the whole time we were being stalked, right through to the home invasion, we kept everybody of the Afriforum community in the loop via Facebook and are now being inundated with requests for information for the RoboGuard system (Contact details etc). Just wanted to find out if you had an affiliate program for referals or some other reward scheme for refering customers. Feel free to check out https://www.facebook.com/groups/290031224485191/permalink/430635447091434/
Hi Nigel
Thank you for the quick response. I am already sleeping better at night!!!
I just want to point out that I have not had exceptional service like this EVER!!!!
Thank you so much.

With this I just want to compliment you guys for the great service. Since I started the process of applying for my Deluxe kit until now when it was delivered at my home, the whole process took less than 24 hours. Great! Fabulous service. Thanks a lot.

Dear Darren,
We were very impressed with your fast service and delivery and with your response to our call for help in installing the roboguards. My daughter managed to install them by herself.
They detected an intruder on Monday evening and we managed to secure the property without a problem.
We want to order another two roboguards (green) and your special on the cameras - the R3999.00 plus vat.
On your video, it states that you could give us a good price.
Also, next to the CCTV section, it stated that you would give a free Cell Phone Panic Button for every roboguard kit purchased?
Please can you let me know the price and I will pay you by EFT.
Thank you so much for your help and assistance.

Hi Darren,
I just want to say a big thank you to you and Mark for the efficient and professional way you handled the replacement of our Roboguard security equipment which was recently stolen, exposing the complex to any number of criminal activities. Without your speedy assistance we would still be vulnerable over this weekend. Tatus and I are erecting the razorwire today.
Once again, on behalf of the Rio Bonita Trustees, thank you.
Have a good weekend!
Best regards,
Hilary
Hello guys at Roboguard,
You have a great Product!
Over the past year and a half, I have had a crash course on home security. Living in Noordhoek,
Cape Town for the past thirty years has been living in paradise … until my neighbour was hit by what
has become to be known in this area as the "balaclava gang", hoodlums who infiltrate houses,
threaten residents with knives, steal portable valuables and either tie up or lock up the residents
before leaving. I needed warning systems and some defences being particularly vulnerable living on
a mountainside, green belt property with easy access over our back wall.
My neighbour, in similar circumstances to me had three balaclava men in his house, threatened with
pangas and knives, made to open safes, hand over roughly R300, 000 Rands worth of electronic
equipment, credit cards, driver's licence etc and locked up in a windowless room before the
shoppers left.
After talking to some people, I learned that no security system is perfect. "Build up layers of
defences" I was advised. First I purchased a "pepper gun", non-lethal but, I was told, effective. Then
I developed, from standard fittings and pipes available from hardware shops, a land mine. The mine
was harmless, powered by a CO2 cartridge, and simply sprayed anyone who stood on it with
ammonium sulphide (stink bomb). It was fun looking up the recipe to make stink bombs and
designing the land mines which I placed just outside the back wall against the mountain. I also had
signs made up which I placed on the mountain warning people that "these properties are protected
by land mines". Thirdly, I investigated putting up beams to warn of any intruders. Roboguard
looked good and I ordered one to try.
I set up the Roboguard in various locations to test its operation, understand its limitations and
evaluate its efficacy for our situation. We have two cats, two dogs, Hadidas, Egyptian Geese and
Peacocks to deal with, so setting the angles and sensitivities of the Roboguard was challenging. But
having gone through the Roboguard instructions, plus some telephonic help I reckoned that this
could be a workable solution and ordered three more Roboguards to give us an appropriate warning
system.
We have a big house with different levels but I calculated that we could get away with four
Roboguards to give us warning about anyone trying to enter the house, totally unprotected by
burglar bars and easy to open "locked" windows. These were installed as per the photos below.

The first Roboguard covers our conservatory area. The challenge with this one was to get the angle
right so that our Boxer didn't set off false alarms as he went up the step next to the unit onto the
balcony.

This Roboguard covers the north and part of the west sides of the house which is a split level.
This Roboguard was the most challenging to set because of the split level on the west side of the
house. It covers the area up to the steps shown in the photo and the south (front entrance) of the
house. The next picture shows the front area it covers.

I had to take down my landmine defences and signs because a "snotty" neighbour complained about
them "at a national level" I was informed. Sure enough the balaclava gang hit us one night. I wrote
about the incident at the time (therapy for me) …
Our dinner guests arrived at about 01h30 this morning. They thought it was a fancy dress; black
theme, balaclavas and black gloves to match their very black, non South African black skin. They
were kind enough to bring some of their own cutlery, knives suitable for carving slices of meat off a
succulent spit braaied piglet. I had mislaid the invitation so not quite sure what was specified.
Our neighbourhood dogs warned us earlier that there would be a party; starting to bark without any
apparent reason from about 19h30 yesterday evening. At one stage, when most of our neighbours
took note of the dogs and turned on every single floodlight possible, I did the opposite and turned all
my lights off to put myself on even terms with anyone lurking in a dark corner, went outside with my
peppercorn gun and finding nothing, went to bed as usual at about 21h30.
My wife came to bed unusually early at about 23h00 and, unlike her, put her cell phone on her
bedside table (she generally leaves it downstairs). Later at about 01h00 her cell phone rang; some
strange number we hadn't heard of. I had heard my daughter, who was working at a local
restaurant that evening come home earlier so I knew she was safe and, both of us now wide awake,
decided that it was probably just a wrong number.
It was raining, a good steady, hard drizzle and I was comforted by the sound, knowing the
Agapanthus we had planted needed the water and I was drifting into sleep with José Feliciano's "Listen to the pouring rain, listen to it fall" turning softly in my head. Then the exterior beam monitor
that sits on my bedside table beeped; a false alarm maybe? There was some wind and spring flowers
we had recently planted could be growing into the path of the beam to set it off. But there were two
beeps in quite quick succession in zone 2, meaning that if there was somebody present, their
entrance to the house would be either through the back door or the conservatory. I had to
investigate.
Reluctantly and in my soporific state, I went downstairs wearing a vest only and armed with the
peppercorn gun and walked through into the kitchen. I get goose bumps just thinking about what
happened next. Our dinner guests were there, brandishing their knives and coming towards me. In
an adrenalin filled panic, I twisted the lever to activate the CO2 cartridge that powers the peppercorn
gun whilst aiming it at our guests. "I've got a gun!" I screamed and blindly got four or five shots off
at them but they were quick and got out of the way before they were hit. Then they came again with
their silvery knives, to find me squeezing at the dead trigger of a gun that didn't respond. In my
panic, I had unscrewed the lever and expelled all the gas. My gun was useless.
Running seemed like a good idea, which I did full tilt up the stairs to our bedroom, screaming all the
way to try and wake up Brenda and to get my only hope of defence, our neighbourhood radio to get
help; "They are here, they are here. Get your gun!" The statement was futile I know as the gas
powered pellet gun that is "my wife's" lives in her desk drawer downstairs. But our guests didn't
know it was a toy gun out of reach. It won't live there any longer and perhaps it should be traded in
for a real gun.
My screams did wake up my wife who very wisely went through to the en suite bathroom and hid,
while my children locked themselves in their bedrooms. But I had been followed, consumed by fear
and reached the radio before they could get to it, pressed the talk button and screamed for help,
somehow with the presence of mind to say who it was that needed help. Two of the guests were
coming at me to try and secure the radio whilst the third was scouting the room looking for
valuables. It was in a split second that all the energy flowing through me in fear was transformed
into anger. It all happened so fast and the one outstanding thought going through my mind was "F--
You".
I

as they came, they left, perhaps realising that people were actually on the way to help us or perhaps
simply as a well thought out strategy. They left us, escaping over the back wall and breaking the as
yet un-electrified electric fence on the perimeter of our "security estate" as they went taking only an
old cell phone and a camera.
I dressed and help arrived in the form of my good, trustworthy neighbours, one who subscribes to an armed response company and had the presence of mind to press his panic button which got armed
support here pretty quickly! By then I could hardly talk; partly because of all the screaming I had
done and partly because in the fight we had in the bedroom, the cartridge of the peppercorn gun had
fallen out and one of the guests had trodden on a pepper corn. I just hope they felt as bad from the
pepper as we did!
It was over, barring the endless interviews with the local police whose response can only be described
as pathetic.
Obviously, I didn't have enough layers of protection. They escaped with an old cell phone and
camera. We had not been harmed; just emotionally scarred. Most importantly, the Roboguards had
performed brilliantly and gave us due warning, without which, things could have been much, much
worse,
We still use and rely upon the Roboguards along with other layers of protection. The Roboguard
monitor sits on my bedside table. We have, through our home owner's association, installed an
electrified fence around the perimeter of the estate with thermal cameras due for installation soon.
Should Roboguards pick up an intrusion at night I have a remote on each level of the house that will
turn on flood lights, internal lights and start a recording mimicking a radio coms with police. My
pepper gun was traded for a pump action shot gun.
Now, I am prepared.
Kind regards

Almost three years ago, my wife and I invested in a sectional title complex. Our unit had two units / gardens on either side. At the time we felt extremely safe. Any prowler / burglar had to cross two gardens and scales three walls before getting to us. A trip overseas made us rethink the matter of having no alarm. A friend informed us of Roboguard. We explored the details via the internet and ordered a basic kit with its own siren and key remotes. Upon receiving the kit, I found the installation to be simple. No “Roboguard for Dummies” was needed. In a matter of an hour or so everything was installed, tested and operational. The value of the system was proven again on Sunday night (28/10/2012) at 00h00,. An intruder broke the double beam triggering the HQ at my bedside. Since false alarms are very rare, I looked through the window to see a would be burglar crawling on the ground to try and hide behind some flowers. Upon seeing me he fled the scene. This system is worth its weight in gold and a worthy investment for those wanting an early warning system to keep intruders at bay before they gain access to the inside of the home. Neighbours of mine are now seriously considering installing the same system. This is the third time in almost three years, our garden alarm has caused an intruder to flee the complex.
Thank you Roboguard!

Hi Roboguard
I recently purchased the Roboguard system on a rent to own. The service I received from dialling and applying was awesome.
The quick instructions on how to install was easy as pie.
Since having the Roboguards in we have had at least 5 situations where the alarms have gone off.
Been a couple of weeks now without any incidents.Think the crooked people of SA have come to know we are prepared and waiting for them.
The sense of safety has brought on a sigh of relief in the family, being able to leave our cars outside with knowledge of it being safe.
Thanks guys for the awesome service.

Morning
I bought the Roboguard system, and it is excellent!
On Monday 29th October 2012, they broke into my Wendy house on the premises, thanks to the Roboguard beams, the alarm was activated in our bedroom and the thieves took only some of my electric equipment.
If it wasn’t for the Roboguard everything would have been stolen!
THANKS FOR THE EQUIPMENT, they work indeed!

Hi Guys,
I bought your 4-channel DIY Sony CCTV system – wow – what a fantastic product. It was easy to install, works fantastic and really gives us peach of mind.
The staff was fantastic with assistance, especially when one of the cables were faulty and they replaced it immediately.
I have recommended the company to various people in our neighbourhood and will continue to market the company and your products to family and friends.
Please keep the company efficient and helpful in the future as it is a great pleasure dealing with you.

Hi.
I would like to relay my experience of the Roboguards that I had installed in my yard.
We have a large property and had done our best to install lighting which we believed to be a deterrent to potential thieves. Unfortunately this did not have the desired effect as in the space of 3 weeks we had two attempted break-inns. As a result I was extremely concerned about the safety of my wife and my 6 year old son.
A friend of mine introduced me to Roboguard and explained how they worked.
What sold me is that previously my alarm was only triggered once they had entered my house, and now with the early warning system that my Roboguards’ give me, we are alerted when anyone enters the yard. After the instillation of the system we have only had one intruder enter our premises and we were alerted well in advance. The difference with this time is that we did not have to spend a fortune on replacing windows and having to get people out to re-weld and paint my burglar bars, as a result the Robogurds have saved me money and helped pay for themselves.
Effectively, I have a home that my family and I can feel safe in and enjoy a peaceful nights sleep. Thank you Roboguard!!!!!

To whom this may concern,
We recently moved into a new home in which we installed the latest and greatest alarm system indoors including taking the armed response option, but what didn't occur to us at the time was an early warning intruder system for the external perimeter of our property. A few months after settling in to the new home and feeling relatively secure at last, we awoke in the early hours of a Sunday morning to commotion outside. I peered out the window and saw a couple of undesirables lining up all my garden furniture, Braai, hosepipes etc. at the front gate, ready for extraction. Another individual was testing out his lock picking skills on the front gate and door. They had obviously been on our property for the best part of an hour already!
In my half asleep state, I contemplated taking these scumbags on myself but then decided against it and pressed the panic button as I didn't want to risk the criminals getting inside the door before armed response arrived. The armed response team took over six minutes and the thieves managed to escape easily with their newly acquired loot. My wife and four year old son were completely traumatised by the whole ordeal and some two weeks later as things settled down again, early one morning the same crew returned for a repeat performance. If it wasn't for the dogs next door barking madly for half an hour we would have been none the wiser yet again. Clearly, an external Intruder system was needed.
I spoke to many people about tons of products on the market, half of whom couldn't be bothered to give me time of day. Most of the products were in my opinion, too expensive and many were not recommended for the intended environment I wished to use them in. I jumped on-line after talking to a friend and found a Roboguard supplier (Nigel Hamilton) in JHB. He kindly explained all I needed to know and got 3 Robo's shipped down to me within two days. The installation was painless, all that was needed on my part was to drill two mounting holes for each unit. The wireless units already came preconfigured but as I soon discovered, manual changes and configuration were simple to carry out yourself. I had all three installed and working within 45 minutes.
Another fact I appreciated was that at the time, with all the additional costs involved in moving homes, we didn't have extra cash just lying around. Nigel offered us the rent to buy option which we graciously accepted, without having to pay a deposit or for shipping costs to get the units to us. Immediate protection at a fraction of the cost, what more could you ask for! As an added bonus, Roboguards are produced locally and the spares available on demand.
The HQ unit allows you to monitor the Zones your Robo's guard with ease and within five weeks the same scoundrels returned, only to get away with nothing. We have had two further attempts since then that individuals have tried to access our property, they failed dismally every time. The Robo's are basically impossible to bypass and we are yet to have a false detection! Thanks to Roboguard, we sleep peacefully at night, its the best sleeping pill we ever invested in.
Thanks Roboguard.

Dear Team,
Some time ago I installed a unit in my roof to detect entry by burglars through the ceiling hatch. This unit is VERY power hungry and the 4 x 1.5 cells only last a short time, then have to be re charged. At the age of 79 it is difficult for me to lug a ladder from the garage to retrieve the flat batteries for re charge, then bring it out again to climb into the roof to replace the item.
Some weeks back I was invited to House Sit a residence in the smart part of Pinelands. They went to America for a month. The burglar alarm system consisted of four of your beams that talked to a unit in my bedroom and were so sensitive that a golf cart passing the rear entrance , or a car passing the front gate would trigger the relative beams. (A matter of aiming the system that was not tuned to the environment). Needless to say, this system gave me huge peace of mind, as today the burglars come in numbers, and cut your throat for a cell phone. As a pensioner, I am unable to purchase this fantastic system for protecting life and limb at my own residence. Your products protect us old folk, and you are to be congratulated in having the systems that you manufacture / distribute.
Best regards,
John Ecclestone (Snr)
Dear Darren,
As you know I am crazy about roboguard and recommend them to all and sundry. When all else fails, electricity, etc? And anything else that can and does the roboguardsare still working at their job. They don’t need sick leave, holiday leave or any other leave. No labour costs, no admin fees and costs and on and on. Just a couple of batteries every two years or so!
This morning a large AcaciaKaroo fell over in the wind. I have a gorgeous photo of it standing in the debris unscathed. Does the roboguard have it’s own guardian?
I am on my way to the vet and will send you a photo later today

My story is as follows.
My wife and myself are retired and could be described as elderly. We have three sons that run a dairy processing and distribution business on a farm just out of Port Elizabeth. We have a married daughter in the teaching profession. My youngest son is a 33 year old chemistry and microbiology graduate, still presently single and at home.
It was a cold morning , the last Thursday in July of this year 2012 . It had been a particularly wet winter and I felt somewhat creaky as I got up as usual at 02h50 to make a cup of tea for my youngest son and to set a simple breakfast for him as he prepared to go out at 03h30 to open up their dairy processing plant. My faithful cross terrier daschund followed me to the kitchen, head drooping on auto pilot.
I had set out breakfast and made tea for the two of us. I walked my son's cup to his room and woke him. I returned to the kitchen , picked up my tea and was about to make my way to the study to catch up with world events on my computer.
Gruffy gave a low growl which I interpreted as a need to go out to relieve herself. Tea in hand I opened the sliding door in the lounge. To my surprise she shot out in a flash and was immediately embroiled in a full pitch free for all just down the steps of our porch. Now, I assumed that she was tackling her arch enemy - the neighbour's reputedly expensive cat that has extensive straying habits. She almost killed it the previous week. I yelled at her to lay off.
A further shock followed when up the steps bounded a young black guy who gabbed open the sliding door with one hand while simultaneously connecting me with a glancing blow in the face. I realized I was in real trouble at a real bad time. My wife was bed bound, recuperating from a mastectomy. My son was in the other side of the house and I had a home invasion on my lap in my t-shirt and jocks with a cup of tea in my hands. I think we all have wondered how we would react under such duress. I had long before made my mind never to take an attack lying down. The realization of events to me were like a cold bucket of water followed strangely by sheer rage at the hopeless reality of my situation. I screamed unprintable things at him and attacked with the only weapon at hand....my scalding hot cup of tea. He got it all, delivered with the cup in his face.
My attacker turned and ran.
I screamed at my son for a gun. Armed, we pursued but the brief delay was sufficient for them to get away..... perhaps just as well as an accomplice had been in waiting just around the corner with a third keeping watch at the entrance to the property. A shooting match outside a house has, as you are aware, many complications.
What is abundantly clear to me after examining the foot prints and considering the behavior of these criminals is that they are very well prepared. It is almost as if they have drilled themselves.
- My attacker did not panic and flee but coolly recognized the opportunity to access the house and chose to attack. Consider the circumstances. He was being viciously harassed by a dog, he could hear the alert and angry voice of a grown man.
- Their withdrawal was similarly well planned. Anyone pursuing closely enough to have a chance to catch the criminal would quickly find the odds stacked against him providing a new opportunity to gain access to home and hearth.
My advice: Consider very carefully the risk of pursuit in light of being caught out and in light of the legal complications that you are presented with if you injure a fleeing "trespasser". Consider this now and decide on your plan of action now.
By the grace of my Redeemer God we emerged unscathed.
It is impossible to remain on high alert, armed all the time. The crux is to be pre warned in the event that there are persons on your property ....Simply put, advance warning is the key to effective defense.
We searched for means to achieve this and ended up installing the Roboguard system. The best?? There are other systems out there but we chose Roboguard. I have been most impressed with the system. There are no wires that have to be run out to the units and their communication with the receiver unit gives all the information I need, presence and position of intruder. The chances that I will be caught unawares again have been massively reduced. In addition when one of the units gave hassles it was replaced it immediately. Technical backup was one of my prime requirements. I wish you every success with your system into the future. Improve it as the need arises but keep it simple.
